About
Meet Bonnie Christensen, LMHC.
Before private practice, I spent 20 years in behavioral health leadership across hospitals, crisis services, forensic settings, and addiction treatment. That experience shaped how I listen for the patterns underneath what is happening now.
Therapy should not feel like a performance. You do not need the perfect words or an organized version of what happened. My role is to help you connect what is happening now with the emotional patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

How I work
I listen for the connection between what’s happening now and the pattern that may have been shaping your choices for years. Sometimes that shows up in relationships. Sometimes as people-pleasing, over-functioning, perfectionism, or the sense that you’re responsible for keeping everyone else steady.
We look at where it started, what it protected you from, and what it costs to keep. That’s slower than advice and it holds longer.
You stop being a mystery to yourself when the pattern finally makes sense.
