About Bonnie
Bonnie Christensen, LMHC
More than 25 years of experience helping adults understand why the same emotional and relationship patterns keep repeating.
I look for the pattern beneath the problem.
For more than 25 years, I’ve worked with adults who are capable, responsible, and often exhausted from carrying more than anyone realizes.
Many of my clients already know what the immediate problem is. What they have not been able to see clearly is why it keeps returning in a different form. That is where our work begins.
Before opening Christensen Mental Health, I worked in both clinical and leadership roles, including serving as a director of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs. That experience taught me how to look beyond a single symptom and understand the larger pattern shaping a person’s life. I am also a Florida Qualified Supervisor and have supported the professional development of other clinicians.
After more than 25 years in this field, I have learned that intelligent, self-aware people do not stay stuck because they are weak or unwilling to change. They stay stuck because the pattern once made sense, and no one has helped them see it clearly enough to choose something different.
“My clients don’t need someone to tell them what’s wrong. They need someone who can explain why the same patterns keep repeating.”
